Lapis and Red Coral Necklace with Pendant (15-51)

This Lapis Lazuli necklace also features red coral beads with a Lapis, coral and silver pendant. The backside of this pendant is just a beautiful as the front with a unique silver flower etched on the back.
This necklace measures 17″ in length, pendant measuring 1″ in length.

Lapis Lazuli: Prized by the earliest inhabitants of India, Persia, Mesopotamia and Egypt, Lapis Lazuli consists of grains of several blue minerals. The flecks visible on it are gold deposits from mines. Lapis was called “the heavenly stone” by early Egyptians because it resembled the color if the sky.

Red Coral: Precious coral, or red coral, is the common name given to a genus of marine corals, Corallium. The distinguishing characteristic of precious corals is their durable and intensely colored red or pink-orange skeleton, which is used for making jewelry.
