Many explorers, scientist and hunters have sought – in vain – the elusive snow leopard, to the point that it has assumed almost mythical status. This cat was caught in the mountains of Mongolia, north of the Gobi Desert. It was fitted with a radio collar and released. It melted into its environment of rock, stunted scrub and snow patches.
