High in the branches of an acacia tree, a leopard drapes its sleek body amongst the foliage, appearing deceptively relaxed. The wide-open eyes and alertly pricked ears, however, show an acute awareness of something happening in the near vicinity.
Maybe it is danger, maybe prey or maybe another leopard. Whatever the object of its attention, the big cat will remain silent and beautifully camouflaged in its vantage point until a course of action has been carefully assessed. Should the required reaction be defensive, the leopard will simply melt silently away like a ghost. But if the opposite is necessary, heaven help the victim, because this predator seldom fails.
Look out.
