Lapis Necklace with Small Pipe Pendant (18-171)

The Lapis Beads on this necklace are the traditional blue, round shaped with a small oval and silver pendant.

Lapis Lazuli: Prized by the earliest inhabitants of India, Persia, Mesopotamia and Egypt, Lapis Lazuli consists of grains of several blue minerals. The flecks visible on it are gold deposits from mines. Lapis was called “the heavenly stone” by early Egyptians because it resembled the color if the sky.
