Gashi Necklace w/ Brass Anchors (CON-007)

This necklace has three strand of bead work, consisting of Gashi, Aruba and brass anchors and ‘circle of life’ beads. It measures approximately 21″ in length.

Gashi Beads: In the local language “gashi” means fired. These are West African beads from Ghana. The beads are pressed in moulds, then fired. They are often left with a granular, opaque surface and sometimes polished to acquire a deep, glowing color ranging from green to blue to brown.

Aruba Beads: Similar to the Gashi beads, only painted.
